This is a private reference site, not a police, court, jail, or corrections office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record for those services.

Choose the Correct Records Office

Tolland County has no county sheriff, county jail, or single county records desk. Start with the arresting agency. Connecticut State Police Troop C is the primary regional contact, but it does not hold every Vernon or UConn record and does not operate a jail.

Different questions belong with different offices:

  • For a Vernon arrest record, contact Vernon Police Records at 725 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, CT 06066, by calling 860-872-9126 option 5 or emailing policerecords@vernon-ct.gov. Posted records hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • For Mansfield or Ellington resident-trooper records, use the DESPP Reports and Records route. DESPP processes State Police records through its current request system.
  • For a UConn Storrs matter, call UConn Police Records at 860-486-5150. Headquarters is at 126 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06269, with posted weekday records hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • For an adult admitted to state custody, contact Connecticut DOC FOI at 24 Wolcott Hill Road, Wethersfield, CT 06109, or 860-692-6290. The DOC inmate search is the official current-custody starting point.
  • For a pending case, disposition, or warrant concern, contact GA 19 at 20 Park Street, Rockville, CT 06066, 860-870-3200, or use the Connecticut Judicial criminal lookup. An attorney can advise a person who may be subject to a warrant.
  • For possible archived correctional records, contact State Archives reference staff at CSL.ISREF@ct.gov or 860-757-6580. Archive correspondence may also be sent to CT.Archives@ct.gov.
  • For a federal or immigration custody location, use the federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator. Those systems do not answer local Tolland police-record questions.

The Tolland County records hub explains how to identify the right custodian, request an adult arrest record and any maintained photograph, and follow a charge to its court disposition.
